We need to be in the baby house in Ust-Kamenogorsk sometime in mid June! So we think this may actually happen soon!
Tomorrow we have a call with our coordinator and might get some more information, but for now we are just so excited and honestly can't quite believe it!

Where are we Going?
We are going to Ust-Kamenogorsk (also known Oskemen) in Kazkahstan to adopt our daughter. Hopefully we will travel somewhere around June '08. Mid sized city of 300k people, roughly 100 miles from Russian border in the east/northeast of Kaz. Also it is only 200 miles from where Mongolia and China border Kaz. Originally (2/8/08) we were told that we were going to Aqtobe, then in early April our paperwork was moved to Ust as it appears there are more children in need in that area. We are very happy with this region assignment.

Congratulations on getting a travel date! Wow... that feeling is something else. But soon that will be surpassed by holding your new child in your arms :)

That is wonderful news! And plenty of time to prepare! We'll be almost neighbors as we expect to travel to Semey (about 2 hours away - they share the same MOE) in May. Perhaps our paths will cross in Almaty? I don't know if I mentioned this in earlier posts, but we share Wisconsin roots!

Anyway, you will love Ust. We are home between visits now, and we will be back in Ust on or about June 15. We hope our paths cross there! Also, please let me know if you want to speak at all before you leave.
